Phase I: Project Discovery Objective:
- Interview key individuals for needs, problems or goals
- Work toward determining fit and cost benefit analysis
- Determine custom system requirements
- Establish project timelines and milestones
Phase II: Procurement and Configuration Objective:
- Procurement of the computer systems and software
- Refine requirements and identify in-house equipment
- Install software and configure hardware
- Note: Systems analysts will determine the proper location of servers and the network point of presence for access. Existing electronic services will be evaluated for integration with STL products.
Phase III: Evaluation of Physical Processes and Automation Objective:
- Evaluate the existing paperwork processes – the evaluation will include detailed analysis of the system, to include but not be limited to:
- Identify paperwork processes that have viable electronic potential
- Identify forms for electronic submittal and approval with electronic notification
- Transform the existing processes with an electronic counterpart, perform document conversions for use with the solution, and construct appropriate database tables
Phase IV: Customization, Development, and Testing Objective:
- Develop the web interface such that the modernized system is compatible with the SSA-stipulated web environment – the web interface is to match and integrate into the customer’s website eliminating the need for server and client software rollout and licensing fees
- Activate electronic document with system components
- Establish test parameters and activate testing procedures
- Incorporate an automated notification solution. STL provides services that enable their clients to automate the management of document templates management for use with notification systems such as E-mail, PDA’s, Blackberries, and Internet equipped mobile phones, etc. E-mail notifications are sent out to the intended recipient with a hyperlink embedded
Phase V: Pilot Test
- Objective: Identify the test facilities and activate the pilot program
