Process Improvements:
Through a series of interviews with key players in your organization the STL team helps you define a customized solution. STL uses business process analysts to determine fit and to map existing paperwork processes that can be converted to electronic processes. With an agreement to proceed, a high level project plan with timeline is established. The first recommended step is a Pilot Test.

Test Pilot:
We recommend that the first step in the evaluation of the STL-Secure Trade System is a Pilot Test (PT). The objective of the PT is to implement a working digital equivalent of a customer’s paper or manual based processes. Customers are guided through a five (5) phase process including: process improvement discovery, procurement and configuration, evaluation of physical processes for possible automation, customization-development-testing, and pilot test.

Phase I: Project Discovery Objective:

• Interview key individuals for needs, problems or goals
• Work toward determining fit and cost benefit analysis
• Determine custom system requirements
• Establish project timelines and milestones

Phase II: Procurement and Configuration Objective:

• Procurement of the computer systems and software
• Refine requirements and identify in-house equipment
• Install software and configure hardware
• Note: Systems analysts will determine the proper location of servers and the network point of presence for access. Existing electronic services will be evaluated for integration with STL products.

Phase III: Evaluation of Physical Processes and Automation Objective:

• Evaluate the existing paperwork processes – the evaluation will include detailed analysis of the system, to include but not be limited to:
• Identify paperwork processes that have viable electronic potential
• Identify forms for electronic submittal and approval with electronic notification
• Transform the existing processes with an electronic counterpart, perform document conversions for use with the solution, and construct appropriate database tables

Phase IV: Customization, Development, and Testing Objective:

• Develop the web interface such that the modernized system is compatible with the SSA-stipulated web environment – the web interface is to match and integrate into the customer’s website eliminating the need for server and client software rollout and licensing fees
• Activate electronic document with system components
• Establish test parameters and activate testing procedures
• Incorporate an automated notification solution. STL provides services that enable their clients to automate the management of document templates management for use with notification systems such as E-mail, PDA’s, Blackberries, and Internet equipped mobile phones, etc. E-mail notifications are sent out to the intended recipient with a hyperlink embedded

Phase V: Pilot Test

• Objective: Identify the test facilities and activate the pilot program
